I made an appointment via the e-appointment service on-line within a couple of hours my prescription was waiting for me at the chemist. I can’t thank the team there enough. I’ve been a patient at a few gp surgeries over the years and this surgery is by far the most caring and efficient. Thank you team NHS.
Great quality of care

Greeted by a friendly, helpful receptionist who arranged for me to see my own GP at 9.20am, referred to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital for an appointment that morning, arrived there at 10.am, examined and left the hospital by 10.30am with an appointment for a scan the next day. Brilliant!.

Excellent well run surgery
by D M Wilson – Posted on 28/03/2019I have been registered with many surgeries over the years but Lordswood is undoubtledy the best, So many good points: excellent small and bright waiting areas, pleasant, interested and sympathetic staff. Easy to make an online appointment exactly when I need one. If a more immediate appointment is needed the receptionists help in every possible way to make one available. My own Doctor listens to me, discusses my problem and provides advice in an easily undertsood way. He never keeps me waiting, although I don’t know how he manages this! Although this is a very large Practice I have not been passed around from one doctor to another and in fact for the past five years or so have only ever seen the Docgtor I am registered with.
Telephone consultant

Successful outcome of conversation meaning that my daughter did not have to miss school, an appointment was freed for another patient who may require a face-to-face consultation and my daughter received the treatment she needed. Thank you.
High level of professionalism

My family have been with Lordswood Practise since Day 1 over 20 years ago. Dr Mulcahy and Dr Whitely are two of the best in the business both, provide a high level of professionalism and are very knowledgeable. The level of service is second to none. I especially express my thanks Dr Mulcahy for looking after my father over the years and coming out for home visits whenever required he was his eldest patient. He very attentive and comprehensive in his diagnosis. Booking an appointment is easy, in general is about a 5-10min wait before you get through to the staff who I’ve found to be most helpful and polite. So its 5 Stars from me.

Excellent service. If I phone for an appointment, I am told where I am in the queue, and the most I have ever waited on the phone is 10 mins., usually it’s answered straight away. Doctors are excellent.cheers<br>

I’m astonished at the negative responses. I’ve been going to this practice for over 30 years now and have never had anything untoward. Always polite and always professional. I feel very privileged to have such a surgery on the doorstep.
Perhaps those complaining should look at their own me me attitude.

Great GP! I’ve had so much more help here for my disability and my health here. Large practice with a lot of other services available too. And the only time there was a hiccup the practice manager fixed it, you only have to speak to someone. The NHS is run by humans, no one is perfect but its the attitude towards fixing problems that counts.

I had to make an urgent appointment (not an emergency) with my Doctor this morning. The receptionist was able to offer me an appointment with my own Doctor within one hour. Whilst this is obviously not always possible, I have always found the receptionists, doctors and nurses to be helpful when I need help. For non-urgent appointments their online systems works well.
